Update to Return To Training & Return To Play Conditions - July 15

Following recent announcements by the Victorian Government restricting activity in certain areas and revised directions from the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Football Victoria (FV) has today released an update to the published Return to Training Conditions and Return to Play Conditions.

The key changes include:

  • Restriction of all community sport in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire;
  • If you live in a restricted area, you cannot participate in community sport elsewhere;
  • Requirement outside of the restricted areas to record further information in attendance records and to not permit those from restricted areas to attend; and
  • Equipment including balls to be cleaned and disinfected before each training session/match.

Clubs are requested to review the changes in detail and to continue to liaise with their Council (or other land owner) in relation to venue and facility access.

Clubs are reminded that compliance with the FV Return to Training Conditions and/or Return to Play Conditions is mandatory.

FV reminds all members of the community to exercise caution and to follow and cooperate with all conditions outlined in these documents.

Thank you for your continued patience, cooperation and resilience as individuals and as a community, as we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times.
