Return To Play/Training Conditions

Current Return to Training Conditions for all Victorian players:

Following updates from the Victorian government, Football Victoria have released new Return to Play Conditions for all ages.

These Conditions replace all prior releases and apply for both Junior and Senior players; with the key changes being related to density limits and QR code services.

Please download and review the changes in detail. A reminder that compliance with the FV Return to Play Conditions is mandatory.

All venues and facilities must also have a COVIDSafe Plan. Football Victoria has provided an easy to use template with football specific content and explanations to help you to navigate this compliance piece - Visit the COVIDSafe Plan page here.

COVIDSafe Plan template:

Football Victoria understands that Club volunteers are time poor at the best of times, and now with COVID-Safe requirements, have faced an even greater workload.

We provide the following information, resources and opportunities to make this process as easy as possible for your Club to follow the Victorian Government requirements:

All organisations, no matter how big or small, are required to have a COVIDSafe Plan in order to keep their staff, members and the general public safe. Football Victoria has developed this simple and easy to follow, football-specific COVIDSafe Plan Template.

  • Include your Club/Association details where you see a <placeholder> throughout the template, and have the Club/Association formally endorse the plan at the next available opportunity.
  • Make sure the committee, coaches, officials and players are fully aware of the plan. Promote it widely, including to members, parents, your local council, sponsors, etc. Distribution could involve uploading your plan to your website, sharing your plan on social media, or sending your plan via email or as part of a newsletter.
  • Print out and prominently display the return to training printable signage (referenced in the plan), and create a free QR code for contact tracing via the Victorian Government.
  • Stay updated on the latest advice and any changes via Football Victoria, Sport and Recreation Victoria, DHHS and your local council. Where significant changes are made, FV will make best efforts to update this webpage as quickly as possible.
