FEMALE FOOTBALL WEEK
Female Football Week (FFW) is a nationwide initiative to celebrate the immense growth of women’s football at all levels of the game and acknowledge and promote women's important role in developing Our Game.
The theme #WeRise is a celebration of Australian women's football, as we rise together to elevate women and girls, highlighting the sense of community both on and off the field.
The presence and influence of women and girls in football is a key focus for Football Victoria (FV) with the organisation building towards a 50/50 gender equity target by 2027.
2024 marks an important 50-year milestone for Women's Football in Victoria, as the Victorian Women's Soccer Association kicked-off in 1974.
2024 FFW will be held from Friday, May 3rd to Sunday, May 12th.

Host an FFW event at your Club
By registering your come-and-try sessions, MiniRoos gala days, coaching courses, referee courses, mentoring events, and schools’ gala days, Football (FV) Victoria can advertise your event and support your event where possible.
FV has a limited number of FFW Giveaway Packs available to Clubs who have registered their event.
Register early to avoid missing out. Please note we cannot access any further stock once numbers have been exhausted.

We also strongly encourage women & girls to look into joining a social football program. GO Girls, GO Soccer Mums and Women's Football Sevens all provide alternative methods for females to play our great game.
