Volunteer Week spotlight: Lynsey Richmond

During National Volunteer Week 2021, we’re shining a spotlight on some of the hard-working, dedicated volunteers in our football community.

Lynsey Richmond was nominated for a feature by Darren Vincent, who wanted to acknowledge her enormous contribution to Rosebud Heart.

Lynsey has been at Rosebud Heart since the birth of the Club in 2010. She is our Secretary and such a vital part of our culture.

"Lynsey is at every training session. She organises the grounds and ensures everything is ready for the coaches and players.

"Furthermore, she is there from the start to the end of trainings, chatting to parents and coaches and building a strong rapport with our football community. She knows everyone at the Club and their stories.

"She attends every home game, from the Hub games to all the scheduled matches then goes out of her way to dash off to away games as well.

"She plays a major role in running the Club and even handles social media and updates our team app!

"Outside of football, Lynsey has seven kids to take care of. The kids play at the club and she also takes them to other commitments. I see her as a very passionate, driven women that only wants to see people’s happiness and kids be able to play the game in a fun environment.

"As the Technical Director, she has been very valuable to me in my first real season.

"Thank you Lynsey!"
