Update on investigation: NPL VIC Men's R5 Oakleigh Cannons v Dandenong Thunder

Football Victoria (FV) would like to provide an update following last weekend’s incident at the Round 5 NPL Victoria Men’s match between Oakleigh Cannons and Dandenong Thunder.

FV’s investigation into anti-social behaviour at the match remains active and we thank both Clubs and the wider football community for their cooperation and assistance.

To date, four key individuals have been identified as having involvement in the off-field incident, each of which has been issued with an interim suspension order, prohibiting them from attending or playing football while the investigation is ongoing.

In addition, one player has also been temporarily suspended while investigations continue.

Increased security will be at place for both club’s matches this weekend, with additional measures at several other matches across the state.

As always, FV encourages our football community to attend matches and support your team in a safe and respectful manner this weekend.

We will continue to update our football community on the outcomes of this investigation as available.
