Sydenham Park SC and Calder United SC Partner to Elevate Women's Football

Football Victoria (FV) celebrates the partnership established between Sydenham Park SC and Calder United SC.

Sydenham Park SC graciously decided to support Calder United SC with 11 matches to be played at Keilor Lodge Reserve.

Sydenham Park SC Vice-President David Lisolajski expressed the Club's enthusiasm, stating they were "extremely stoked" and thrilled to host Calder United senior women's teams at Keilor Lodge Reserve in 2024.

"When we learned that they were without a home venue, it was an obvious choice for us to reach out and assist," he elaborated.

"Women's football holds significant importance for us at Sydenham, and we believe this partnership will benefit our young girls and both senior women's teams. They will witness professionalism firsthand during match days."

The Club Changer Club Development Program, launched last year, aims to strengthen clubs and foster welcoming and inclusive environments for community members to participate in football.

In 2023, all member federations concentrated on women and girls in football as part of the Legacy 23 campaign, enabling the Club Development Officer to collaborate with clubs to create a positive football experience for women and girls on and off the field.

Calder United SC President Amanda Stella expressed anticipation in developing a successful partnership to bring the top league women's NPLW to Sydenham Park in 2024.

"The support from Sydenham Park President Nick and Vice President David, along with the broader Sydenham Park community, is greatly appreciated, and we eagerly anticipate playing our senior and 20s home games for the 2024 season at Sydenham Park.

"A special acknowledgment to Football Victoria's Josephine La Pila for her work with both clubs to achieve an outcome that promotes collaboration among football clubs for the betterment of our beloved sport."

On behalf of Football Victoria's Growth & Development Team and Club Changer Club Development Program, we are immensely excited and thankful to witness clubs supporting each other for the love of football.
