Football Victoria's premier junior preseason tournament is heading back to Bendigo in March, 2023.
Registrations are now open for the 2023 edition of Boys & Girls FC. Enter your team & have at least 5 players registered by Thursday December 15 and your Club could win 10 Nike balls and a carry bag! Each team counts as a separate entry so get your teams in FAST!
Boys & Girls FC has become one of the biggest community events on the Victorian football calendar in recent years. The tournament provides Clubs with the perfect opportunity to get together to bond, socialise and sharpen up their skills ahead of the ahead of the new season.
Taking place at Epsom Huntly Reserve on the 25th and 26th of March, the event will create a festival-like atmosphere in Bendigo full of football, entertainment and family activities.
The competition offers small-sided games with age groups ranging from Under-9 to Under-17. Matches are played in a 7v7 or 9v9 format, depending on the age group, encouraging faster games where players have a greater opportunity to get on the ball and get involved.
Springside West Head Coach Bradley Ower said the 2021 edition of the tournament was a "wonderful weekend."
"The group of students absolutely loved being a part of the whole tournament. They have not stopped talking about since at school," he said.
"It was a weekend where the students gained valuable experience in how tournament football operates. The importance of preparation, nutrition, recovery, resilience, building culture with a team and making every chance count in front of the goals."
Eltham RedbacksTeam Manager Jeroen Sikker echoed those sentiments, expressing his Club's intent to get involved again.
"It was a great tournament! It was well organised and we can't wait to take part in it again next year," he said.
