The Australia Cup Round of 32 continues on Wednesday night with four exciting fixtures set to take place.

Clubs from Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, will battle it out on match day two for a spot in the competition’s last 16.

Heidelberg United vs Brisbane Roar

Heidelberg United and Brisbane Roar go head-to-head at Olympic Village in the first Member Federation Club vs A-League Men tie of this year's Round of 32 on Wednesday night.

Heidelberg are no strangers to a 'Cupset' having previously beaten Perth Glory 1-0 in the Round of 32 back in 2017.

Ivan Franjic, who won two A-League Championships with the Roar is set to line up against his former club as is goalkeeper, Brendan White. 

Kaine Sheppard, Adrian Zahra, Reuben Way as well as Kosta and Maki Petratos round out the ex- A-League contingent lining up for George Katsakis's side.

The Bergers, who come into Wednesday's match off the back of a 5-1 weekend win over Dandenong City currently sit fifth on the NPL Victoria standings.

After finishing 11th in the A-League last season Brisbane Roar booked their spot in this year's Round of 32 with a Playoff Round victory over Western Sydney Wanderers.

Warren Moon's side who have added former English Premier League forward, Charlie Austin as well as Riku Danzaki ahead of the new season geared up for Wednesday's clash with a pair of high profile friendlies against Leeds United and Aston Villa.

Brisbane City mark their 75th anniversary season with a first ever Australia Cup Round of 32 appearance against Cockburn City at Perry Park on Wednesday night.

City, who qualified for the Round of 32 with wins over Yeronga FC, North Pine, Sunshine Coast Wanderers and Lions FC currently sit ninth on the NPL Queensland standings after 16 rounds of action.

Former Socceroo, Matt Smith is the club's Player/Coach with former A-League defender, Daniel Bowles and 2019 Mike Cockerill Medal winner Fraser Hills amongst City's playing stocks.

Cockburn come into Wednesday's match after being crowned Western Australian State Cup winners with a last ditch 3-2 win in the final against Armadale on Sunday.

Cockburn, who are coached by Mirko Jelicic currently occupy tenth position on the NPLWA standings.

Daniel Robinson has top scored for the Dakmatinac Park side this season, netting five league goals.

In South Australia, Adelaide City and Logan Lightning go head-to-head in Australia Cup Round of 32 action at Marden Sports Complex.

RAA NPLSA league leaders, Adelaide City look to go one better than they did last season after being defeated 1-0 at death in the Round of 32 by Melbourne Victory after pushing the eventual Winners all the way.

Club Captain, Nicholas Bucco shapes as a key figure for Paul Pezos' side as does Aladin Irabona who currently sits equal third on the RAA NPLSA goalscoring charts with 11 goals to his name so far this season.

Logan make their Round of 32 debut on Wednesday night, having beaten Annerley FC, Pine Hills, Olympic FC and Sunshine Coast Fire on their way to the Final Rounds.

Jacob Fulluck, Dauntae Mariner and Carlos Saliaderre shape as key men for Logan, who currently occupy tenth position on the NPL Queensland ladder.

  • Logan Lightning defeated Sunshine Coast Fire 5-0 in their final preliminary round fixture of the 2022 Australia Cup, after conceding a clean sheet in each of their two games prior in the campaign.

Wollongong United vs Green Gully

Wollongong United make their debut in the Australia Cup final rounds when they take on NPL Victoria heavyweights Green Gully at Ian McLennan Park.

United, who are coached by 29-year-old Bill Tsovolos only played one game at home on their run to the Round of 32 and defeated four sides from league’s higher than them on their cup run.

Mason Versi, who scored against his former club as United claimed their biggest scalp against Blacktown City shapes as the Illawarra Premier League outfits key man.

Green Gully are no strangers to a shock victory themselves, defeating Central Coast Mariners 2-1 thanks to an iconic Liam Boland long range goal in their only other Final Rounds appearance.

Gully reached the Round of 32 with wins over Nunawading City, Fitzroy City, Doveton and Whittlesea United.

Nahuel Bonada has top scored for Gully, who sit fourth on the NPL Victoria standings with seven goals in the league so far this season.

  • This will be Green Gully SC’s second Round of 32 match in the Australia Cup; they defeated Central Coast Mariners 2-1 in their first game at this stage in 2016 after trailing at halftime on the day.
