Play in Football Victoria’s All Abilities League 2022

The All Abilities League began in 2017 to enable players with a disability to have the opportunity to play football in a safe and inclusive environment. The league consists of a competitive, semi-competitive and social league for ages 14 and over. And a junior’s league for ages 6 to 14.

After two years of disrupted play, we are keen to get our All-Abilities League up and running again for the 2022 season. The All-abilities league caters for All Abilities including people with physical disabilities (including wheelchair and walker), intellectual disabilities, vision impairments and any other disability or impairment.

Some of the clubs who compete in our All Abilities League include:

  • Northcote City FC
  • Doveton Special Soccer School
  • DOC Football Academy
  • Frankston Pines
  • Northern Falcons FC
  • Mitchell Rangers SC
  • Collingwood City SC
  •  Glen Eira Rangers
  • Vic CP Team (based in Darebin)

The cost for each participant ranges in between $27 and $37. Any further costs depend on the club which you play in. Team entry fee’s also apply.

Hear from some of our All Abilities program coordinators on their experience in being a part of the All Abilities League:

“Our club has been participating in the league since 2021 for 1 year currently and have over 20 participants. This year will be our second. I myself have been playing AAA soccer since 2007 representing Australia twice and Victoria 3 times. Our club comprises of Senior and Junior players that play in both divisions which play in div 1 and juniors. This year we are hoping to have 3 divisions represented."

"The benefits for the players is boosting confidence, self-esteem and making new friends with being a part of a club and broader community.”

- Peter Zapantis, Frankston Pines FC

AAA Dates
All Abilities Football was formed to provide people of all backgrounds, skill levels and capabilities a pathway to the beautiful game.

“Northern Falcons FC was one of the first clubs in Victoria to start an AAA team. This was about 10 years ago. We have two senior teams. One competing in Div 2 and the other in the social league. The venture into all abilities football has been a fantastic thing for our club. We have been able to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to play our beautiful game, boosted their confidence and given them a place where they feel they belong."

"This would not have been possible without this program. Apart from this, it has taught our wider club community the importance of diversity and inclusion. Our AAA program is a big part of our club and one that we are very proud of.”

- Frank Pizzo, Northern Falcons FC
