Football Victoria (FV) has advised Heidelberg United FC, Pascoe Vale FC and Goulburn Valley Suns FC that their Junior Boys NPL fixtures due this weekend will be rescheduled to a date later in the JBNPL qualification period.
This weekend’s postponement is due to this afternoon’s announcement that Goulburn Valley Health is currently awaiting the results of tests for COVID- 19 (Coronavirus) for two exchange students visiting Goulburn Valley Grammar School.
Another 11 visiting students at the school and two visiting staff members are also in precautionary isolation. Goulburn Valley Suns FC has players in its JBNPL program that attend Goulburn Valley Grammar School.
FV has taken this action as a precautionary measure only in the interests of the health and wellbeing of all football participants.
We would like to assure all participants that at the time of this release, the advice from authorities is that there is no reason to not travel to the region and participants should continue to take a common sense approach to all football activities. All other official football fixtures scheduled for this weekend will proceed as planned.
