In recent years, FV has undertaken extensive reviews of our Referee and NPL Boys programs, as well as an active review into Regional football. Each of these reviews allow FV to refine, re-prioritise and refocus actions to support football participation and improve outcomes for all.

With an unwavering commitment to equity across our game, FV announces that it will be undertaking a review of our Female National Training Centre (NTC) and Female State Development (SD) programs.

Since 2017, FV has been operating the SD and NTC programs with the aim of providing talented players with access to high-quality coaching, training, and playing environments. This comprehensive review will ensure these programs meet the highest standards of performance, well-being, and inclusivity.

The review will assess several key areas of the programs, including effectiveness in player development, program management and structure, athlete wellbeing, adherence to policies and regulations, communication protocols and the overall experience of participants and stakeholders. Consultation with players, parents, coaches, support staff and other stakeholders connected to the programs will be central to the evaluation process.

The expected deliverables include actionable recommendations, updated collateral/policies, and a comprehensive report and is scheduled to commence in the coming weeks, with the report to be delivered in the final quarter of 2024.

To support the program across the review and implement recommendations, FV is pleased to announce a new Executive Manager High Performance and Pathways vacancy.

The intention of the role will play a critical role in leading and managing the organisation's high-performance programs and talent pathways, with a focus on identifying, developing and nurturing participants (players, coaches, and referees) to achieve excellence across the game. The role will oversee the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of high-performance initiatives, working collaboratively with coaches, athletes, support staff and key stakeholders to optimise performance outcomes and maximise success.

The role will be advertised on Seek shortly.
