2023 Annual General Meeting Recap

Football Victoria (FV) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, December 11 with the announcement of Chris Pehlivanis as the organisation's new CEO and the 2022 Financial Summary key topics.

Held at the State Football Centre at The Home of The Matildas, there was a strong attendance of Members and Life Members from the Victorian football community present.

A change in FV's financial year in 2022 meant the financials represented a 14-month period, rather than a standard 12. With the change now incorporated, future financial reports will be aligned with the calendar year (January to December). To view the 2022 Financial Report, click here.

In addition to the financials, Chris Pehlivanis was announced as FV's new CEO, effective 22 January, 2024.

Pehlivanis is highly respected in the football community and will join following a successful four-year term as Western United FC CEO. Under his guidance the club established itself in Australia’s elite sporting landscape, attained an A-League Women’s license, won an A-League Men’s Championship and launched the WUFC Academy.

In other key news, Director Joanna Bladen formally departed the Board after more than two years. Elected in May 2021, Bladen brought a community perspective that stemmed from her playing experience, in addition to highly valued commercial and business acumen. Bladen stepped down from her role to return to the United Kingdom with her family. FV thanks her for her service and wishes her the best in her future endeavours.

The Annual Report will be made public shortly.
