NPL Junior Boys' Competition 2020

Football Victoria has undergone a significant review of the Men’s & Boys’ competition over the past 18 months. The Football Competition Review into Men’s and Boys’ football has recommended re-structures to the Senior Men’s and Junior Boys’ competitions.

The junior competition model will start with up to 48 junior NPL programs in 2020 (subject to FV receiving and approving enough applications that meet the Junior Boys’ NPL club competition licensing criteria).

All current NPL junior clubs & HAL clubs will be eligible to begin in the newly formatted NPL competition in 2020 should they agree to all competition rules and meet all entry criteria for the competition.

FV will review and audit existing NPL & HAL clubs against the mandatory criteria by June 28, 2019.

As part of the process to extend the opportunity for community clubs to access the pathway, FV board has agreed to open the application process for the remaining licenses to existing community clubs.

FV hereby releases the following documents for community club’s consideration:

In accordance with the implementation timeline FV is requesting any community club who is interested in applying for a new license submit an “intent to apply” by no later than Friday, April 5, at 5pm.

This can be done by completing the link located on the JBNPL 2020 Application information under section 2. How To Apply, Step 1.

All clubs intending to apply should consider if it can meet the Mandatory elements detailed in the JBNPL 2020 Application Information prior to lodging an intent to apply.
