A Western Victoria Soccer Association Life Member from 2001, Joe Jakubowski became a Life Member of Football Victoria in 2010. Jakubowski passed away in 2020, aged 64.

John Karounos

John Karounas


An accomplished coach and seasoned administrator from South Australia, John Karounos arrived in Geelong in 1993, taking up the reins of the Western Victoria Soccer Association (WVSA) representative teams at senior men's, women's and junior level. He was involved in developing the Victorian Soccer Federation (VSF) junior competition pathway and consulted on the formation of the National Premier Leagues Victoria. Instrumental in forming  Lara Soccer Club, Karounos served as president of the WVSA and continued to coach senior football before retiring in 2019. A life member with the Geelong Region Football Association, Karounos became a life member of Football Victoria in 2010.

H M Knott


A prominent solicitor, H M Knott served as a long-time Chairman of the Victorian Soccer Federation Appeals Committee. He was honoured with Life Membership in 1973. Knott passed away in 1987.

Tony Kovac

Tony Kovac


Tony Kovac migrated to Melbourne from Yugoslavia in 1949. He joined JUST and was elected President of the club, where he would spend seventeen years at the helm during its most successful period. A founding member of the Victorian Soccer Federation (VSF), Kovac also served as an executive member of the then Soccer Australia, and along with Life Membership of the VSF (1967) he was also a Life Member of the National Soccer League. Kovac was honoured with an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in 1987 and was among the inaugural inductees into the Football Australia Hall of Fame in 1999.

Roger Lamb

Roger Lamb


Roger Lamb was a leading referee during a period when Australia played against some of the world's best club and national teams. A career spanning 25 years, he arrived in Melbourne via England in 1950, started refereeing in 1952, and made his top flight league debut in the Victorian State League in 1960, a level he would officiate at for 15 seasons. Lamb was secretary of the Australian Soccer Referees Foundation for 15 years and president for 4 years. In 1981, he qualified as a referees coach, became an inspector in 1994, was the Victorian referees coach for five years from 1998 and a member of the national coaching panel. Awarded life membership by the Victorian Soccer Federation in 2001, Lamb's services to the sport over six decades resulted in induction to the Football Australia Hall of Fame in 2005. Roger Lamb passed away in 2010.

A Life Member of the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League in 1991, Alan Lassey became a Life Member of Football Victoria in 2010.

Tony Longano

Tony Longano


Awarded life membership by the Bendigo Soccer League in 1982, Tony Longano established himself as one of the competition's playing legends with Strathdale and Colts United, winning two league best-and-fairest awards in a twenty year career. He represented Bendigo in numerous championships and became a Football Federation Victoria life member in 2010.
