Bill Campbell

Bill Campbell was an influential figure with Sandringham Soccer Club, acting as President and club delegate throughout the 1960s. He contributed to the Victorian Soccer Federation's Metropolitan League Management Committee for over a decade, serving as Chairman in 1958 and was honoured with Life Membership by the VSF in 1969. Bill Campbell passed away in 1989.

George Campbell

George Campbell


George Campbell played 225 NSL matches with three Victorian clubs before embarking on a coaching career of over three decades. Representing the state as a player on three occasions, George also led junior age State teams at several National Championships in Coffs Harbour and played a key role in the implementation and delivery of FV’s Academy program. Campbell was also instrumental in fostering partnerships with several commercial entities and Football Victoria. Campbell was honoured with Life Membership in 2022.

Joe Cappadona

A Geelong Region Football Association Life Member, Joe Cappadona became a Life Member of Football Federation Victoria in 2010.

John Castellini

A club delegate with Juventus in the 1960s and 1970s, John Castellini was a member of the State League Management Committee of the Victorian Soccer Federation between 1964 and 1972, serving as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management between 1970 and 1972. He was honoured with Life Membership by the VSF in 1968.

Norman Ceeney

A former referee and referee inspector, Norman Ceeney served as President of the Victorian division of the Australian Soccer Referees Federation between 1992 and 1996. A life member with Soccer Referees Victoria, Norman Ceeney became a Life Member of the Victorian Soccer Federation in 2000.

Harry Chalkitis

Harry Chalkitis


Harry Chalkitis remains the only individual to have coached Victoria’s Senior Men’s and Women’s state teams, the culmination of five decades of involvement in the discipline. Harry achieved great success with multiple top-flight clubs, winning the Victorian Premier League Coach of the Year in 1997. He served as a State Instructor before assuming leadership of the National Training Centre program, where he coached Victoria Vision in the final seasons of the Women’s National Soccer League. Chalkitis was honoured with Life Membership in 2022.

Jason Charles

Jason Charles


Starting as a junior player at Watsonia Heights SC and a referee in his teens, Jason Charles became heavily involved in the administration of women's football throughout the 1980s and 1990s, as a committee member and president of the Victorian Women's Soccer Association and director of the Australian Women's Soccer Association. These positions led to his election to the then Victorian Soccer Federation Commission and subsequently Life Membership of that organisation at the age of 31 in 2001.

Matt Ciavarella

Matt Ciavarella


A long-time treasurer and public relations officer with the North Eastern Soccer League throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Matt Ciavarella is still involved with football in the Goulburn North-East region, where he forms part of the extended committee at Shepparton South Soccer Club. He was honoured with Life Membership by the Victorian Soccer Federation in 2000.

Leo Cicalese

A foundation member of Mildura Soccer Club, Leo Cicalese served as Treasurer of the Sunraysia Soccer Association (SSA) for 12 years before taking on the roles of Vice President and President. He played a key role in expanding football across the border via the Riverland Soccer Association in South Australia and was recognised for his services to football in the region with SSA Life Membership in 1989. He ultimately became a Life Member of Football Victoria in 2010.

Tony Cikoja

Tony Cikoja first served on the Victorian Soccer Federation's State League Management Committee in 1985, and over the next two decades would play a pivotal role in the restructure of the state's premier competition in areas such as promotion and marketing, and grounds and fixtures. He was Vice President of the VSF between 1992 and 1996 and was honoured with Life Membership in 2001.

Vito Cilauro

Vito Cilauro


Born in 1930, Vito Cilauro arrived in Melbourne in 1957. A club delegate with Juventus in the 1960s, he began his service to the Victorian Soccer Federation on the State League Management Committee during the same period, serving as Chairman between 1976 and 1988. Cilauro also served on the Board of Management from 1975, firstly as Deputy Chairman and later as Chairman. He was a representative to the Australian Soccer Federation where he became Deputy Chairman and toured overseas with Australian national teams. A Patron and Trustee of the VSF as well as a practising solicitor, he assumed the role of Chairman of the Appeals Board for almost two decades. Cilauro was honoured with Life Membership of the VSF in 1988 and inducted into the Football Australia Hall of Fame in 2003.

A life member with Soccer Referees Victoria, George Clarke became a Life Member of Football Victoria in 2000.

Ian Clutton

Ian Clutton


A Life Member of the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League in 2002, Clutton became a Life Member of Football Victoria in 2010.

Gary Cole

Gary Cole


A 2021 Hall of Fame inductee. Gary Cole began his playing career at South Yarra before embarking upon a storied journey that included NSL Golden Boots and Socceroo honours. Cole represented Victoria on 18 occasions, most notably scoring a hat-trick against AEK Athens of Greece. He coached the Victorian State Team on four occasions, complementing a club career which culminated in two Victorian Premier League titles and a Coach of the Year award in 1996. Cole continues to support Victorian coaches as a member of the Executive committee with Football Coaches Australia. Following his Hall of Fame induction in 2021, Cole was honoured with Life Membership in 2022.

Giancarlo Contini

A life member with Soccer Referees Victoria, George Clarke became a Life Member of Football Victoria in 2000. George Contini passed away in February 2018.

S Crawshaw

A Delegate of the Referees Association between 1923 and 1925, S Crawshaw was a top referee in Victoria throughout the 1920s. Honoured with Life Membership by the Victorian Amateur Soccer Football Association in 1933, he later became President of the Soccer Old Boys Association in 1935. After the war, he appeared on the Council of the Victorian Soccer Football Association in 1948.

Oscar Crino

Oscar Crino


A Hall of Fame inductee, Oscar Crino was born in Argentina in 1962 and played as a junior for San Lorenzo before coming to Australia with his parents in 1972. An Australian schoolboy international in 1979, he made his debut with Footscray JUST at just 16 before forming part of the first intake into the Australian Institute of Sport in 1981. After representing Australia at the World Youth Cup in the same year, he would becoming an ever-present in the Socceroos over the next decade, winning 70 caps. Following his Hall of Fame induction in 2014, Cole was honoured with Life Membership later that year.

Gordon Crossley

Gordon Crossley


Predominantly involved in junior development, Gordon Crossley served on the National Junior Council and was a founding member of the National Coaches Association. He served as Team Manager for Victoria's junior representative teams at National Championships throughout much of the 1980s. He was instrumental in the foundation of Victoria's first Women's development program and was ultimately awarded with Life Membership by the Victorian Soccer Federation in 1990.

Gordon Culbard

Involved in junior league administration for well over a decade, Gordon Culbard appeared on the VASFA Junior Management Committee in 1961, assuming the role of Chairman after the Victorian Soccer Federation was formed in 1966, a position he would hold until 1973. He was awarded Life Membership by the Victorian Soccer Federation in the same year, an honour bestowed upon him by Doncaster Rovers in 1987. He continued his committee work with the Industrial Soccer League in the mid 1980s. Culbard passed away in 1999.

A Western Victoria Soccer Association Life Member from 2000, Tony Curnick became a Life Member of Football Federation Victoria in 2010.

Dennis Curnow

A Life Member of the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League in 1986, Dennis Curnow became a Life Member of Football Victoria in 2010.

Bill Curran

Bill Curran


A quality referee at the highest level, Bill Curran was the Secretary with the Victorian Soccer Referees Association from 1960 before branching into other roles involving coach roles with the senior and junior state representative teams. He enjoyed great success with the Victorian Under 16 team, winning the National Championships in 1972, 1974 and 1978, and claimed Under 18 honours in 1979, the same year he took the reins of the Australian Under 16 team. He served on the Investigation and Disciplinary Committee for a number of years before being honoured with Life Membership by the Victorian Soccer Federation in 1980. 

Arthur Curtain

A Life Member of the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League in 1986, Curtain became a Life Member of Football Federation Victoria in 2010.

Charlie Cutajar

A committee member with George Cross from 1965, Charlie Cutajar served the Victorian Soccer Federation in a variety of roles, namely as a member of the State League and Junior League Management Committees. His tireless work in both roles saw him honoured with Life Membership by the VSF in 1984.
