NPL Victoria Jimmy Rooney Medal

Named after the inaugural Football Victoria Hall of Fame inductee and 1974 World Cup Socceroo, the Jimmy Rooney Medal is awarded to the best player in the NPL Grand Final. The late David Cervinski won the first ever medal awarded when North Geelong claimed VPL honours in 1992. He is joined by Gold Medal Winners (Chris Emsovski, Fernando De Moraes and Graham Hockless) and Golden Boot winners (Peter Psarros and Milos Lujic) alike. Ryan Scott became the first dual winner of the Jimmy Rooney Medal when Bentleigh Greens claimed the Championship in 2019.
