Streaming Announcement | Every NPLM and NPLW match streamed on YouTube in 2024

Football Victoria (FV) is pleased to confirm that live streaming will return to YouTube in 2024, with every NPL Victoria Men’s (NPLM) and NPL Victoria Women’s (NPLW) match to be broadcast.

The countdown is on! On Thursday, February 8 the Original Melbourne Derby will raise the curtain on season 2024, with South Melbourne hosting the Melbourne Knights at Lakeside Stadium.

The match will be the first of more than 350 games set to be live streamed to the NPL Victoria YouTube channel this campaign, a catalogue which features:

  • All 187 NPLM matches
  • All 135 NPLW matches
  • Selected VPLM and VPLW matches
  • Dockerty Cup Finals (play-off, semi-finals, final)
  • Nike F.C. Cup Finals (quarters, semi-finals, final)
  • Australia Cup matches (Rounds 6 & 7)

The transition to YouTube follows Clutch Pty Ltd. entering voluntary administration in 2023 and deactivating NPL.TV, which served as the home of NPL streaming for the past two years.

Major cup matches and Cup and Finals matches have consistently been broadcast to YouTube alongside NPL.TV, meaning the switch should provide a smooth user experience for fans and clubs who are already familiar with the platform.

Dan Birrell, FV Executive Manager of Football Operations said the FV team is thrilled to offer an accessible option for the football community.

“Ensuring our top-tier competitions remain free to watch and accessible for our community is our top priority. YouTube provides an easy user experience, is reliable and compatible with every mainstream device,” he said.

“We’re really pleased to be able to offer streaming live streaming as an option, but it’s important for everyone in the football community to also get out to games, enjoy the atmosphere and support local clubs.”

With the men’s season kicking the top-tier action off, fans won’t have to wait much longer for the highly anticipated 2024 NPLW Victoria opener, as Box Hill United host newly promoted Brunswick Juventus on Friday, 15 March.
