Football Victoria is encouraging the football community to explore Sport and Recreation Victoria's Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program
This initiative offers vital support to grassroots sports and active recreation clubs and organisations by helping to replace or repair essential sporting and first aid equipment lost or damaged due to incidents such as fire, flood, significant storms, theft, or criminal damage.
Applications for this grant can be submitted at any time between 1st November 2023 and 4 pm on 31st May 2024, or until the allocated funding is exhausted.
Before applying for the grant, it's important to have the following documentation:
- A police report for incidents involving theft or criminal damage
- Quotes for the equipment requested for funding
- Proof of payment (receipts, bank statements, and invoices) if the equipment has already been purchased
- Evidence of the incident and the equipment that has been lost or damaged
The grant provides funding of up to $1,000 towards the replacement or repair costs of lost or damaged equipment owned by the applicant organisation.
Applications for incidents occurring between 1st June 2023 and 31st May 2024 are eligible for funding consideration.
Notification of outcomes will be provided within four weeks of applying.
