When it comes to most wins in the Dockerty Cup, one club stands above all others - South Melbourne.
South Melbourne lost three finals before finally claiming their first Dockerty Cup in 1974, defeating Ringwood City Wilhelmina 4-1. They defended their title the following year with a 2-1 win over Sunshine City. South secured five wins in eight years between 1988 and 1995 before the Cup went into recess in 1997. Two wins against Oakleigh Cannons, in 2015 and 2024 saw them tie Melbourne Knights on nine wins, their record breaking tenth win coming in 2025 against arch-rival Heidelberg United in a thrilling final.
