Football & Futsal suspension extended

With the Victorian Government’s announcement of an extension to the lockdown across the state, Football Victoria (FV) confirms that all Football/Futsal activities in Victoria will be further suspended until 11.59pm Tuesday, July 27.

This includes all organised competitions, practice matches & training sessions, refereeing training sessions, in-person referee & coaching courses, Cup competitions/tournaments, Futsal competitions and training, Talent ID and FV elite development programs.

The FV Competitions team is working through multiple scenarios regarding the missed rounds. An update will be communicated following an announcement of a return to football.

For Clubs whose competitions are administered through a Regional Association, please ensure you liaise directly with your key Association contact(s).

We encourage all Clubs to stay connected with parents and players to prepare them for the resumption of football.

Please visit our COVID-19 FAQs for further details.

FV will continue to liaise with the Department of Sport and Recreation and will provide updates as they are available.

We encourage our community to stay in touch with one another and prioritise their mental health. Please utilise and share the resources from Beyond BlueHeadspaceKids HelplineLifeline and R U OK?

Additional COVID-19 resources are also available on the Victorian Government's Coronavirus portal.

The health and safety of all in our community is the priority. Please continue to follow the government directives and stay safe.
