All Abilities April is here! This month, we’ll be shining a spotlight on all of the great programs in Victoria that ensure football remains accessible to everyone – no matter their age, background or ability.
Football is the greatest game in the world and importantly, football is for all. The month is kicking off on April 2 with a ‘Come and Try Day’ for people with Cerebral Palsy, Brain Acquired Injuries or stroke, who are looking to get involved in our beautiful game.
Throughout the month, we're calling on our community to celebrate All Abilities Football by sharing events, stories and initiatives that promote inclusion in our game.
Following kick-off on April 2, there are a whole host of All Abilities themed events taking place throughout the month. Some, like 'Come and Try Days' are aimed at recruiting new people to get involved while others, like the Power Chair Football Championships will see the best of the best play competitively in showpiece tournaments.
We'll also be sharing stories of people in the All Abilities football space and learning about how they got involved, their backgrounds and how football has changed their life.
Football Victoria is encouraging anyone who's thought about playing football, or might be interested in giving it a try to check out all of the available programs on offer. Make this the year that you get involve! There really is something for everyone so don't hesitate to contact the FV Team if you have any questions about our programs.
