Referee Uniform Guidelines
Mitre Australia has partnered with Football Victoria as the official referee uniform supplier for 2019 and beyond.
FV Major Partner Sportsmart will continue as the uniform retailer. In February 2019, Mitre uniforms will be available for purchase in-store from Sportsmart retail outlets and via the Sportsmart online store.
All referees must purchase the new Mitre uniforms prior to Round 1 of the 2019 FV season. Adidas or any other brands of referee uniforms are not permitted in any competition during 2019.
Mitre Uniform Specifics
The new Mitre standard referee uniform will be a predominately black kit including black shirt, shorts & socks. The on-field range will also feature two additional shirts, yellow & purple, these will be required for all referees officiating in NPL & NPLW competitions (Senior & Junior leagues). The Mitre off field range will also be available.
The standard black kit is the only uniform that is required by referees appointed to matches in all other competitions (Non NPL leagues).
Referees may wear the yellow & purple kit in all other competitions should they wish to purchase the alternative colours. When refereeing in any competition, referees & assistant referees must have matching colour Mitre uniforms.
