TIDC GIRLS TALENT ID CAMPS

The Talent ID Camps are training sessions and matches held during the April , July  and September School Holidays to identify and develop our talented players for potential future Victorian and Australian Representative Squads.

Identified girls are selected to train at a training camp and will play matches against other regions or Girls NTC Squads. At the TIDC gala day to be held at a centralised location, including a cost recovery fee.

Players who are not selected after the first camp can still be identified in the club environment and invited to into the subsequent Talent ID Camps.

Following on from the trials, identified players train one night a month with the TIDC Squad at the Home of Matildas. All TIDC players are required to train and play matches with their current club.

Initial player selection will be based on nominations from clubs, tournaments or expression of interests while also taking into consideration scouted players and players that participated in previous FV Programs. Trials will then be conducted prior to the camps.

Throughout the duration of the program players can be scouted and invited to trial in the program. TIDC sessions will run during the season as part of the players development. Squads of 18+ players will work in blocks. Technical staff will monitor players and review positions in the program at the end of each training block. Players not required for the new blocks will be monitored by technical staff in their club environment.
