Victoria finishes National Youth Championships 2024 Girls' Tournament Day 6 Wrap

Victoria finished the finished the 2024 National Youth Championships Girls’ Tournament on a high, claiming three victories on the final day of the competition. 

Perfect conditions marked the culmination of six days of high-quality competition, featuring 22 teams and 67 matches. A combined total of 310 goals were scored across the girls’ tournament, which showcased the talents of over 500 players and officials.

Football Victoria Day 6 Results:

• U15 Victoria Blue 4-3 Northern NSW
• U15 Victoria White 3-2 Western Australia
• U16 Victoria Blue 1-0 Queensland Maroon

NSW Metro emerged as National Champions in the Under 15 and Under 16 Age Groups, winning the Finals against Queensland Maroon and Northern NSW, respectively. Both NSW Metro sides completed the tournament unbeaten, highlighting the level of talent developing within NSW.

The Under 15s Final started with a bang as Queensland Maroon scored in the opening minutes, however, NSW Metro quickly equalised. A goalless second half played out in front of a full grandstand, leading to a penalty shootout where NSW Metro proved more clinical.
