Football Victoria (FV) is proud to announce St Albans Saints as the Club Changer Club of the Month for June, recognising their outstanding commitment to building a strong, inclusive football environment.
Through Football Australia’s Club Changer program, St Albans Saints have embraced a club-wide transformation, leveraging expert tools, resources, and guidance to support their long-term vision for growth.
“The Club Changer program has given us invaluable tools and resources to strengthen our foundations and plan for long-term sustainability,” Vice-President John Bilos said.
With ongoing support from FV, including regular club visits from dedicated staff, St Albans has implemented key initiatives to strengthen its Women and Girls programming, deliver safeguarding education, and meet compliance with Victorian child safety legislation.

Central to their growth has been a renewed focus on volunteer empowerment. By clearly defining roles and responsibilities, the club has streamlined daily operations and built a stronger, more accountable culture.
“Assigning clear roles and responsibilities to our volunteers has significantly improved our day-to-day operations,” the club said.
Driving these initiatives are three standout volunteers: Suzie Ilic, Lucija Hrbolic, and Natalie Matrevski, whose leadership has guided the implementation of structures aligned with both 1-Star and 2-Star Club Changer action plans.
In addition, St Albans conducted a member survey and developed a detailed facility improvement plan, culminating in a comprehensive report presented to Brimbank City Council outlining short, medium, and long-term goals for Churchill Reserve.
In April, the club proudly hosted State Minister Natalie Suleyman and Federal Minister Daniel Mulino during its marquee event, the Croatian Cup. The visit underscored the club’s deep community support and coincided with a $3.5 million funding announcement to upgrade Churchill Reserve.
