Yesterday, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced the next phase of the easing of the COVID-19 restrictions.
Football Victoria (FV) is very pleased to note that this included return dates for competitive sport as follows:
- 22 June: 18 years and under – full contact training and competitions
- 13 July: Adult contact training
- 20 July: Adult contact competitions
From 22 June, clubs can also access changerooms and showers. Club rooms can open for up to 20 people per indoor space.
Gatherings will also be permitted but must abide by gathering restrictions – spectators must not be in groups of greater than 20 and must adhere to social distancing requirements around the ground and venue.
FV will provide further guidance in the coming days on season dates for all competitions and will update and circulate the Return To Training Conditions.
FV will also be in contact with Councils and other land owners this week to assist in facilitating the return to competitions.
