Football Victoria (FV) proudly announces a significant milestone in the Club Changer Club Development Program, with 18 clubs achieving the prestigious 2 Star status.
This accomplishment highlights the unwavering commitment and dedication of FV's Growth & Development Team to fostering Safeguarding and development within the football community.
FV Club Changer – Club Development Program Manager, Josephine La Pila said she was "excited and proud" to witness Clubs working hard to make positive change and creating opportunities for women and girls to participate in football.
"Community clubs are investing in policies & procedures for their members and creating a safe place for children, young people and adults to be part of their community," she said.
"We all play a pivotal role in providing a safe space for children and we encourage Parents/Guardians, Coaches, Team Manager, Committee Members & Volunteers to be part of each club’s journey through online education and awareness."
The clubs received recognition from Football Australia for their dedication to Safeguarding and promoting the participation of women and girls in football. Achieving the 2 Star Club Changer status required clubs to meet several rigorous criteria, including:
- Progressing from 1 Star women & girls in football key objectives.
- Completing the Women in Football Module for the 2024 season.
- Completing the Safeguarding Module.
- Attending FA Safeguarding webinars.
- Completing three additional modules of the club’s choice.
- Developing a 2 Star action plan identifying key objectives for improvement within club operations, including eight Safeguarding key objectives to implement over the next 12 months.
