Football Victoria (FV) can today confirm Player Registration and Team Entry fees for the 2024 season.
FV maintains its ongoing commitment to ensuring football is as affordable as possible for all those who play our beautiful game, and the fees associated are transparent and clear.
As part of the administration of almost 40,000 fixtures annually, FV incurs external expenses that continue to rise sharply.
Aside from the continued general escalation of costs throughout 2023, insurance costs alone have increased approximately 20% within the last 12 months. Insurance costs are included as part of your registration fee and FV passes these funds on to the insurance provider. This ensures all registered participants have access to critical benefits in the event of a football-related accident, or injury.
FV has elected to support teams, players, and families by absorbing the majority of cost increases over the past five years, via an increase to fees below the average Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase over this period.
In light of this environment, FV will apply an average increase of the CPI to Player Registration and Team Entry fees for the 2024 season.
The current CPI rate of 5.4% equates to an increase of between $1 and $12 per participant, in relation to FV player registration fees.

Along with insurance, the FV player registration/team entry fee covers all aspects of football administration; including fixturing, competition rules/policies, referee scheduling, education and accreditation, player dispensation requests, discipline procedures (including the GDT), Council liaison and Club support services.
Please note that Football Australia has introduced a National Registration Fee (NRF) for Futsal players for the 2024 season. These are $3.15 for Junior players aged 5 to 18 and $5.25 for Senior players aged 19 and older. All other Football Australia NRF amounts remain unchanged from 2023.
