Football Empowerment - African Nations Cup Victoria 2019

Monday 28 January saw the conclusion of the very successful African Nations Cup Victoria. We saw a wonderful finish to the tournament with both the male and female sections ending with some terrific highlights.

Mens: Uganda 3 defeated Burundi 0

Female: Football Empowerment 5 defeated Dandenong Tigers 2

The well attended tournament was facilitated by Football Empowerment, Satellite City Football Club, Charan Foundation, Lengo, Melton City Council, Professional Footballers Association and Football Victoria

On behalf of Football Victoria, we want to thank Tom Yabio, Fasil Mengistu, Yared Hailemelekot, Teddy Yabio, Jonasi Singehebheyu, Abraham Gabreal and all their wonderful team, all the participating teams and their delightful supporters, the FV Referees on the fine job of adjudicating the matches and Frank and Stefanie and team from Satellite City who were present every single day to ensure everyone was welcomed to their wonderful venue within the City of Melton.
