Football Victoria urges everyone in our community to do their part, to help us all get back to a more regular way of life - and back to our beloved game.
Getting on top of COVID-19 means doing things that are hard for everyone. It means missing the game we love, missing seeing the faces that make up our football family.
But it's absolutely vital that we all keep doing the right things to protect our kids, our families, our neighbours, and those who matter most to us.
Doing the right thing means:
- Leaving our homes only for any of the 5 reasons listed here
- Wearing a mask indoors and outdoors, if we are leaving our homes
- Getting tested without delay if you have cold or flu like symptoms, such as a cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, or a runny nose - even if these are very mild.
- Checking the COVID-19 exposure sites listed here regularly, and following the advice for that particular site, if you or your friends or family went to or worked at any of the sites listed
- Checking-in at all venues and facilities you visit, including supermarkets and train stations
- Getting vaccinated. Every Victorian aged 16 and over is eligible for vaccination right now. So are children aged 12-15 years who receive NDIS support. You can book at portal.cvms.vic.gov.au or call 1800 675 398, 8am-8pm daily.
- Support is available. If you are worried about losing wages, you may be eligible for a $450 payment. If you test positive or are a close contact of someone who tests positive, a $1500 payment is available, so you can stay at home. More information on supports is available here.
- Social connection is vital, but so is the need to connect safely. Find new ways to connect – video calls with our loved ones, online play dates or training sessions.
