Youth Leadership Program: Expression of Interest now open

Football Victoria is pleased to offer our new Youth Leadership Program, proudly supported by VicHealth.

Early exposure to leadership can highlight ability and enable young women to gain the required confidence to take the first step to lead and become a competent committee member. The program will be delivered online over seven, two-hour sessions, starting 23rd October 2020.

Clubs are invited to nominate a young woman aged 18-25 years to participate in the program. If successful, this participant will then bring with them their nominated female committee member to act as their mentor, providing support along the journey.

Supporting the advancement of women and girls through training and personal development coaching, is essential to the growth of football in Victoria. Mentors play a key role in offering additional support, guidance and wisdom on a young leader’s journey. This program has been designed to develop, upskill and instil a sense of confidence in participants, providing each young woman with the tools to excel in leadership roles.

All participants will also undertake a Miniroos Coaching Course as a part of the upskilling during this program, enabling them to deliver GO Girls program at your club.

Twelve participants will be chosen to take part in this program, together with their mentor.
