During National Volunteer Week 2021, we’re shining a spotlight on some of the hard-working, dedicated volunteers in our football community.
Odilia Wijburg was nominated for a feature by Ashleigh Owens, who wanted to recognise her selfless contribution to Glen Eira FC.
“Odilia has been involved with the Club since 2014 and has two children playing at Glen Eira FC,” Ashleigh said.
“She is incredible. Aside from volunteering for the teams that her children play in, she is also an Age Group Coordinator, our Child Safety Officer (acting) and a Committee Member.
“She wears so many hats at our Club and it really seems like she could do anything.
“Odilia works hard to ensure all members at Glen Eira get equal opportunities. She is so supportive and kind. She also goes out of her way to ensure that the young people at our club feel safe and protected.
“She is an absolute inspiration to all of the other leaders at our club.”
