"Our community finals are a fantastic way of recognising the teams that have had wonderful on field success in 2018. We’ve seen so many brilliant stories play our across Victorian football fields. From the joy of Grand Final victory to the despair of winding up on the wrong side of a penalty shoot out, the games were a celebration of football in our State. We thank everyone involved in bringing this together and look forward to all players returning in season 2019 for another season of football."

"So many stories to tell about the community finals. Kids from all ages living the joys with their mates creating a euphoria to last a life time. The women's game has impressed me the most in my first year as Head of Competitions. The numbers have grown by the year and watching some amazing talent play our amazing game has been inspiring. I think we need to really recognise our volunteers. Without them none of this would be possible. Can not wait till the 2019 season kicks off."

- Ezel Hikmet, FFV Manager of Competitions and Football Operations

FFV wishes the Victorian football family a fun and safe break until next year and we look forward to seeing you back on the football pitch in 2019!
