Updated Return to Training/Play conditions for Juniors & Seniors

Following the release of further guidelines from Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) on June 24, Football Victoria (FV) are pleased to provide an update to the published Return to Training Conditions.

Clubs are requested to review the changes in detail and to continue to liaise with their Council (or other land owner) in relation to venue and facility access.

Clubs are reminded that compliance with the FV Return to Training Conditions and/or Return to Play Conditions is mandatory.

Key changes to the conditions include:

  • The separation of conditions between Senior (19 years and older) and Junior (18 years and under) sport
  • Junior competitive training and games can resume effective immediately, including friendly games in preparation for the competition resumption dates released last Friday
  • Senior competitive training can commence from 13 July and competitions from 20 July – subject to further advice from the Chief Health Officer
  • Spectator gatherings at venues is restricted to groups of 10 with social distancing protocols maintained between groups (though only those necessary to support participation should attend training and competitions)

To assist in the interpretation of these conditions, FV has separated our Conditions into Senior and Junior documents.

FV will be updating our FAQ's on the Return to Football portal shortly.

FV reminds all members of the community to exercise caution and to follow and cooperate with all conditions outlined in these documents.

Thank you for your continued patience, cooperation and resilience as individuals and as a community, as we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times.
