Talent ID in Women's Football - A workshop with Rae Dower

As we continue to celebrate Female Football Week, Football Victoria is pleased to present a fantastic workshop opportunity for advanced coaches of female teams.

Held on Tuesday 24th May at Olympic Park, West Heidelberg - ahead of U14 and U16 elite matches for FV's Talented Player Program - the workshop topic is fittingly, Talent ID in Women's Football.

Presented and delivered by Rae Dower, FA’s Women’s Technical Advisor & Junior Matilda’s Head Coach, advanced coaches are invited to register for the workshop, where attendees they can gain 10 CPD points and also be provided with a scouting app on the night.

Rae was the equal 1st Australian woman to attain the AFC/FA Pro Diploma in Coaching in 2013 and earlier this year became the 1st Australian woman to become an AFC/FA Pro-Licence Tutor. She’s a FIFA Instructor, FA Coach Educator and in 2019 completed the inaugural FIFA Coach Mentor Program. Rae also works with Football Queensland as a Coach Mentor within their FQ/QAS Girls Program.

With over 30 years’ experience in coaching female footballers, Rae will share her insights into the Talent Identification process.
