Return to Training (Metro) and Return to Play (Regional) Conditions released

Following the relaxation of restrictions in Greater Melbourne and regional Victoria from 11.59pm June 10, Football Victoria (FV) has today released updated Return To Play Conditions for Regional Victoria (All Ages) and Return To Training Conditions for Greater Melbourne (All Ages).

Key changes include: 

  • A return to matches/competition for regional Victoria players aged 19 and over, subject to facility caps;

  • A return to indoor football/Futsal for regional Victoria, subject to facility caps;

  • A return to outdoor, contact training for players in Greater Melbourne (all ages);

  • No indoor football activity is permitted in Greater Melbourne;

  • An overall facility limit of 100 patrons (Greater Melbourne) and 150 patrons (regional Victoria) applies, with a maximum of 50 people indoors, including Futsal/indoor football facilities;

  • Players and officials cannot move between Greater Melbourne and Regional Victoria for the purpose of football activity;

  • Players and officials within Greater Melbourne can only attend their Club if they ordinarily reside within 25km.

Clubs are requested to review the changes in detail and to continue to liaise with their Council (or other land owner) in relation to venue and facility access.  

Clubs are reminded that compliance with the FV Return to Training Conditions and/or Return to Play Conditions is mandatory.

With regards to FV administered competitions, a further competitions update will be released from the FV Competitions Department to the nominated club contacts today.
