Melbourne University Women's Soccer Club host 'Pride in Sport Round'

On Sunday the 12th of August, Melbourne University Women's Soccer Club hosted a special round for Pride in Sport at their home Princes Park, in association with Melbourne University Pride in Sport week.

The round celebrated the diversity at the club and raising awareness of the importance of an inclusive club where we can all enjoy the beautiful game.

The pavilion and surrounds of Princes Park were decorated, with with Melbourne University Sport providing rainbow thunder sticks and Instagram cardboard cut-out frames to publicise Pride in Sport on social media.

Inclusion, fairness, equality, integrity and commitment are the driving values of our club culture and character. In my three seasons at MUSC I’ve enjoyed the welcoming nature of the club and have always felt supported and comfortable to be open in myself and who I am.

By running a Pride Round we aimed to promote awareness and inclusiveness, and to continue our efforts in making our club a safe and welcoming space for all.
