1. Goalkeeper Clinic

This clinic will be run by professional female goalkeepers Melissa Maizels and Gaby Garton - pending their playing commitments - who understand the growth and development of a GK from grassroots to international level.

Suitable for girls aged from 11 to 17 years of age, the participants will be provided with further development of their fundamental GK skills within the game to support their team. Girls will have the opportunity to work in a female-only environment and share experiences with like-minded young leaders of the game.

This clinic will run for 2 hours with a key focus on the following aspects of the GK’s game:

  • Ball Handling
  • Shot Stopping
  • Dive Technique
  • Distribution
  • Crosses
  • Communication
  • And Positioning

Don’t miss out, only 20 spots available!

2. MiniRoos Kick-Off Clinic

The MiniRoos Kick-Off program is the perfect way to try football, in a fun, safe introductory program designed for new players aged between 4 and 11.

In this session, your keen future footballer will have the opportunity to build skills through games and simple drills delivered in an engaging and inclusive environment.

Every player gets plenty of time on the ball and the prime aim of each session is for girls to build fundamental motor skills. Benefits include:

  • Make new friends and develop social skills.
  • Develop values of teamwork, co-operation, fair play, and respect for others.
  • Develop a child's ability to make quick decisions and improve reaction time.
  • Keep healthy by getting active.

Don’t miss out, only 40 spots available!

3. MiniRoos Coaching Course

This is a great opportunity for our female participants 13+ years of age to enter the coaching pathway through a discovery phase of MiniRoos Coaching.

In this female-only environment, participating with like-minded women and girls, the MiniRoos Certificate coaches will spend most of the time on the pitch with the course being composed of mainly practical components.

The course emphasises learning football by playing football. Helping players learn the game through participation. You'll learn how you can plan and put on fun football exercises where players are able to learn and enjoy the game by having lots of contact-time with the ball.

Participants will also be exposed to the basic laws of the game to assist in creating fair sessions and match-day practices for the players.

Don’t miss out, only 25 spots available!

4. Level 4 Referee Course

FV is offering a special 50% discount for a Level 4 Referee Course, where our Women and Girls will have the opportunity to become an entry-level referee at community football and take their leadership to a whole new level.

Becoming a referee at a community level is a great way to develop leadership, decision making and communication skills that will empower our women and girls on and off the pitch. There are a lot of reasons to become a referee. Perhaps you are no longer playing football but want to stay connected with the game. Or you are interested in a part time job that provides an income. Or you want to give back to the game you love.

The course involves:

  • Self-paced online theory component where the participant will learn the Laws of the Game
  • Practical training component run by expert instructors
  • Receiving referee uniform, flags, cards, and a whistle.

The practical component of the course will take place at Knox Regional Centre during the GO Soccer Mums Cup Day. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get the future leaders from your community involved. Act quickly though - only 30 spots are available.
