The genU All Abilities Gala Day a Hit!

The genU All Abilities Gala Day was hosted by Lara United SC earlier this month in their brand-new clubhouse facilities.

The genU All Abilities League is a partnership between genU, Leisure Networks and Football Victoria, with the aim of providing people living with a disability the opportunity to join a football club and play in a social football competition.

In attendance on a perfect day for football were Lara United SC, Barwon SC, Geelong Rangers SC and Drysdale SC, along with genU & Leisure Networks.

All participants were treated to football clinics and mini games by Melbourne City FC and coaches, to get everyone warmed up and ready to go.

Matches were played in a competitive but friendly spirit and it was great to see all players and supporters involved and engaged in the games.

"The FV Geelong All Abilities Gala Day was lots of fun and a great success. Lara United hosted an event full of smiles, cheers, and lots of winners. All the different clubs provided volunteers all season and on the day, friends and family came down to watch and support all of the players," Foddy Kyprian, Football Victoria Club Ambassador said.

"Thank you genU for keeping this wonderful initiative going alongside Leisure Networks’. We thank all the clubs involved for their hard work and commitment which has led to another successful season. We are looking forward to growing and expanding this program next year," he said.
