2019 Annual General Meeting & Annual Report

Football Victoria released its 2019 Annual Report and inducted a new Life Member at Monday night’s Annual General Meeting.

The AGM, held via video conference due to COVID-19 restrictions, was held on Monday 25 March and attended by over 50 Life Members and Members from the Victorian football community.

We are very pleased to announce that Karen Joy Hocking was inducted as a Football Victoria Life Member on the night following a lifetime of dedication to our game.

Karen has been a driving force behind the growth of football in the Goulburn Valley region. Karen also manages the SJSA Academy Player Development Program; is the current Vice President of the Victorian Country Leagues Football Association, as well as being the SJSA Registrations Officer. Karen is passionate about grassroots football and works tirelessly to ensure no child misses out on playing the game they love.

In addition to a thorough review of the 2019 Annual Report, the COVID-19 pandemic, and its effect on our sport, was understandably a key topic of discussion on the night with Members.

Football Victoria will continue to work tirelessly on understanding the impact of the virus on all stakeholders in the community.

The Board thanked the Members, Life Members, our 355 clubs, coaches, referees, community volunteers and all who support football for their incredible contribution – especially during the challenging times we are all facing at the moment.
