Victoria will get a taste of top-tier football for the first time in months with a series of FFA Cup fixtures locked in for November 2021.
The FFA Cup Round of 32 will kick-off in NSW on November 6, with a number of Victorian Clubs recommencing their Cup campaigns shortly after.
Hume City FC and Port Melbourne Sharks will clash on Wednesday, November 10 at the ABD Stadium while South Melbourne will host A-League Champions Melbourne City at Lakeside Stadium on Friday, November 12.
Avondale FC, the remaining NPLVIC team still aiming to lift the Cup still face delays however, as border closures means the match against Tasmania’s Devonport Strikers will be confirmed at a later date.
Additionally, the play-off matches Perth Glory vs Melbourne Victory and Western United vs Newcastle Jets are yet to be confirmed, with Football Australia working diligently with clubs and the A-Leagues to schedule these fixtures.
In more positive news though, all games are available to watch live & free on 10 Play, with international viewers able to tune in via the My Football YouTube channel.
COVID-19 Update
Please note: Football Australia and Football Victoria will update our Victorian football community on the status of crowds at matches upon receiving further guidance from the Victorian Government.
Furthermore, Football Australia is working with all stakeholders to schedule the remaining Round of 32 matches and subsequent Round of 16 fixtures in line with State Government Public Health Orders. It is envisaged that Round of 16 matches will be drawn and played in quick succession across November and early December, before the competition moves away from Zones for the Quarter Finals. Details and dates for the later stages of the competition will be released in due course.
