Weekly Club Support Webinars to kick-off 28 February

Without Club volunteers, administrators and committee members, football would stop. Football Victoria (FV) appreciates the dedication, time and commitment of volunteers across our 360 affiliated Clubs and Associations. To help make your roles easier to achieve, the Club Support Program will deliver live webinars across the year.

The webinars will mainly be delivered during evening timeslots to make it easier for volunteers to attend outside of work hours. The intent of the webinars is to reduce the barriers (such as distance and time) for volunteers to attend sessions. This ongoing series will replace the Club Development Conference, traditionally held in February.

“The pandemic has provided us with an opportunity to reflect on how we provide support to Clubs across the State. The Club Support Webinars provides an opportunity to provide more support, more often.” CEO Kimon Taliadoros said.

The focus on the initial sessions are directly linked to the key areas of focus for Clubs pre-season:

  • How to implement the Return to Play Conditions
  • Recruiting players
  • Volunteer retention
  • Volunteer recruitment

Additional sessions will be announced via the Club Support Program page and Club HQ Facebook Group.

“There is so much knowledge within our Clubs – the Club Support Webinars provides a unique opportunity to share initiatives that Clubs have activated.” Head of Clubs and Community Meghan Mayman said. “We look forward to creating an online environment of sharing and supporting our Clubs in a new and innovative way”.
