The fixtures for the first day of competition of the 2022 Women’s Football Carnival of Nations have been released, with Cyprus and Brazil featuring in the opening match at Darebin International Sports Centre (DISC) on Sunday, 2 October.
The annual Women’s Football Carnival of Nations will be held on four consecutive Sundays from 2-23 October 2022. Utilising three artificial pitches at DISC, the Carnival showcases football for women of all abilities, creating a competitive yet social environment.
Even if you're not taking part, you're invited to come down to support the teams and soak up the atmosphere.
A record-equalling 28 teams entered the 2022 Carnival across two divisions: social (Wattle) and competitive (Eucalyptus). 23 teams will be battling it out in Eucalyptus; with five GO Soccer Mums/Masters teams in the Wattle division.
Good luck to all taking part in the tournament, which has become a fixture in the women's football calendar since its inception in 2019. We look forward to discovering who will rise to the top in 2022!
