2021 Competitions Calendar released

Football Victoria (FV) is pleased to release the 2021 Competitions Calendar to our football community today.

The calendar includes key dates for all FV competitions, tournaments, and events.

We'd like to thank everyone in our football community for their ongoing efforts towards football's recovery from an incredibly challenging year for Victoria. While we are all hopeful of an uninterrupted 2021 season, the competitions calendar will need to be flexible and adapt to any changes in restrictions, should COVID-19 impact our state in 2021.

Highlights include:

  • Double-header Grand Finals for NPL Victoria and NPL Victoria Women's in September.
  • NPL Victoria Mens to kick off in the last weekend of February.
  • Women's NPL Victoria starting in the second weekend of April.
  • FFA Cup qualifying commences in the second weekend of February.
  • FFA Cup Round 7 (where winners qualify for the National Round of 32) to be held on midweek dates in mid-June.
  • The Dockerty Cup final and Women's State Knock-Out Cup finals to be held on the third weekend in August.
  • Men's State Leagues start on the third weekend of March and Women's State League starting on the third weekend of April.
  • Geelong competitions all commencing in the third week of April.
  • Community Juniors and MiniRoos kicking off in the third weekend of April.
  • Boys & Girls FC tournament currently slated for March 27/28, registrations opening soon.
  • A new pre-season GO Football Cups tournament to be held in March.
  • All Abilities competitions commencing in May.
  • An ongoing talented player program calendar including key dates for girls and boys TIDC, SAP and respective national championships.
  • A reinvigorated FV Futsal State Championships in April and the exciting new FV Futsal School Championships and State School Titles from May through to September.
  • Regional Cup and Country Championships in April and June respectively.
  • Continuation of our themed rounds: Multicultural Round, Respect Round, Female Football Round, Indigenous Round and Love The Game Round;  across the 2021 season.
  • A Coach education calendar including indicative dates for Coach education courses across all levels of our game.
